By Air

There are a large number of airlines offering flights to the region. Many at very reasonable prices.

The nearest airports are Porto (one hour) and Santiago de Compostela in Spain (one and a half hours) and Vigo (25 minutes).

The flight from the UK is less than 2 hours. It is also possible to fly to Lisbon with many airlines, including Monarch from the UK.

It will be necessary though to hire a car and drive 4 hours in each direction if you choose this route.
